Bratislava, 29 January 2026 \u2013 The Istropolis project is entering the realization phase. The development company Immocap is starting the construction of the first three buildings in Trnavsk\u00e9 m\u00fdto, which after years of preparations launches the gradual transformation of one of the most important locations in Bratislava into a modern centre of city life. With the start of construction of Istropolis, the sale of apartments is also launched.

The construction starts with two office buildings <\/strong>andone residential building<\/strong>, which will form the basis of the future urban structure of Istropolis and set the character of the entire zone. In the coming years, Istropolis will bring to the locality mainly cultural facilities, generous public spaces, as well as high-quality urban housing and a modern working environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“After years of intensive preparations, we are moving from plans to reality. The start of construction of the first three buildings is a key milestone for us and a confirmation that the vision of Istropolis is gradually turning into reality. With the start of construction, we are also launching the sale of apartments, which generate strong interest, just as office spaces do. Istropolis as a city-forming project <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Istropolis has the ambition to fundamentally change the character of Trnavsk\u00e9 m\u00fdto and create a new gateway to the Bratislava \u2013 Nov\u00e9 Mesto city district. The goal is to build an open and lively urban environment that will not be an isolated complex, but a natural part of the city and its daily functioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The overall concept of the project envisages the construction  of nine buildings<\/strong> \u2013 a cultural and social hall, three office buildings and five residential buildings \u2013 complemented by generous public spaces, two new squares, an inner-block park and extensive greenery. An important part of the transformation will also be the modification of \u0160kult\u00e9tyho Street, where traffic will be slowed down, a lot of greenery will be added with an emphasis on the safe movement of pedestrians and cyclists and a high-quality connection of existing districts with Istropolis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The future heart of the entire zone will be a modern cultural and social hall with a capacity of 3,000 people<\/strong>, which will significantly strengthen the cultural infrastructure of Bratislava. It is an exceptional example of a space with a public function, which is being created on the initiative of a private investor and has the ambition to serve the entire city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Construction in phases<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the scope of the project, the construction will take place gradually in several phases, divided into stages. The first stage includes the construction of two office buildings and one residential building<\/strong>, with the buildings to be completed gradually over a period of 2 to 3 years. The cultural and social hall is part of the first phase of the project, with the start of construction planned for 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We see Istropolis as a long-term project that must grow sensitively, in phases and in harmony with the city. The first buildings create the basis on which it will be possible to further develop the entire area \u2013 urbanistically, architecturally and community-wise,”<\/em> adds Martin \u0160ramko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strong interest in housing and office space<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to high-quality urbanism, cultural function, a number of public spaces and a well-thought-out energy concept, the project is already an attractive destination for large companies. Immocap perceives strong interest in office space<\/strong>, which is designed to be a technologically advanced, energy-efficient and flexible working environment. The developer is in advanced negotiations with several companies and some of the office capacities have already confirmed future tenants, including leading multinational companies. To date, it has been confirmed that the first Istropolis Atrium building will become the headquarters of DELL, the Istropolis Tower building will become the headquarters of Orange Slovakia. In the zone, the developer plans more than 3500 m2 of services for Bratislava residents, and the confirmed names include also LIDL supermarket and McDonald’s. This interest confirms Istropolis’ ambition to become one of the most sought-after business locations in the capital .The start of construction is accompanied by significant market interest in the individual functions of the Istropolis project. The construction will also bring the launch of the sale of apartments. Already in the initial phase, the developer registers an extremely positive response to the housing offer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Symbolic beginning of a new phase<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beginning of construction was accompanied by a public event directly in the territory of the future Istropolis, which symbolically opened a new phase of the project with a concert by the band Hex, free of charge for the public. An interesting fact is that the concert took place directly in the place where the cultural and social hall will be built. The central moment was the visual act Mosaic of the City<\/strong>, pointing to the basic pillars of Istropolis \u2013 the interconnection of culture, housing and work, and quality public spaces as essential parts of a modern city. The event underlined the ambition of the project to remain open to the city and its inhabitants during the individual phases of construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Istropolis project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Istropolis is being built in the area of Trnavsk\u00e9 m\u00fdto on  an area of 4.3 hectares. <\/strong>The project will bring a cultural and social hall with a capacity of 3,000 people, 600 apartments<\/strong>, modern office space for approximately 5,000 jobs<\/strong>, retail operations and high-quality public spaces.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An important part of the project is the emphasis on sustainability, energy efficiency and ESG criteria. Istropolis will use a central energy concept, renewable energy sources, modern water management and green solutions that will contribute to the improvement of the microclimate and biodiversity in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the project is to create a lively urban destination, a new meeting place \u2013 an ideal place to live, work and spend leisure time \u2013 and at the same time to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life in Bratislava in the long term. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
